As an architect or designer is very important to be able to develop quick sketches that will allow you to visually express your ideas to your clients. One point perspective is an essential drawing technique for beginners used to represent an image as it is seen by the eyes. I first learned this method at my architectural communications 1 class at Miami Dade College. After learning this technique you will be able to explore two-point perspective and multi-point perspective drawings which require more advanced skills.

The image on the left was drew from “Drawing Masterclass,” this is an excellent book for those interested in learning how to draw interior and exterior spaces using different perspectives. This book displays different images that visually explain the steps needed to draw a specific place. The image from the right is a visual representation of a one- point perspective drawing where every element is drawn from a specific vanishing point. “How to Draw a Room Using One Point Perspective” explains the steps on creating a drawing using this perspective.
